Speech Assistant 1.6 makes the board easier to read on every device and gives iPad a layout made for its screen.
Easier to read
- Words on every tile are bigger: 15 pt instead of 12 pt, following Apple's reading guidelines.
- Text-only tiles use the standard 17 pt body size.
- Labels no longer shrink below 11 pt.
- Your iOS text size setting still applies on top.
Made for iPad
- Tiles, symbols and labels grow with the iPad screen, up to 1.8×.
- The keyboard rests at the bottom of the screen, with bigger keys and text.
- Listening replies, the sentence bar, Settings and Read Aloud use larger text.
- Every tile stays in the same place as on iPhone.
Also
- Keyboard buttons and a few labels now follow your app language.
- Small fixes and improvements.
Questions people ask
Do I need to change any settings?
No. The larger text and the iPad layout are on after the update. Your iOS text size setting still applies.
Do my tiles move on iPad?
No. Rows, columns and order stay the same on every device; only the size changes.
Is 1.6 free?
Yes. It's a free update for everyone.
