Speech Assistant - AAC Pad runs on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Sign in with Apple once and the same boards, in the same order, are on every device.
Which device for what?
- iPhone: always with you; the fastest for typing.
- iPad: bigger tiles, easier to hit; good at home, school and therapy.
- Apple Watch: quick phrases on your wrist when the phone is in a bag.
How does sync work?
- Settings ▸ User Account ▸ Sign in with Apple on each device.
- Boards, phrases, folders and favourites sync automatically.
- Tiles keep their place on every device, so muscle memory carries over.
- No account? Continue as Guest works on one device.
What's on the Watch?
- Your categories as coloured lists, tiles as a two-column grid.
- Tap to speak; recorded phrases play in your own voice.
- Sign in on the iPhone first; the Watch loads your boards over the connection.
Moving boards between apps
- Settings ▸ Boards imports and exports Open Board Format (.obf/.obz) files (Premium).
Speech Assistant is free to download on iPhone and iPad. The Watch app is included.
Questions people ask
Do I have to buy the app for each device?
No. Speech Assistant is free on iPhone and iPad, and the Apple Watch app comes with it.
How do my boards get from iPhone to iPad?
Sign in with Apple on both. Boards, phrases and favourites sync through the cloud.
Does the Apple Watch app work on its own?
It shows the boards from your account, so sign in on the iPhone first. It needs a connection to load them.
